An application fee of $110.00 is required to start the process. The remaining amount is paied on delivery. 

DoE Candidate Application

The Degree of Equivalence Application at ​SIPAD VIU is a comprehensive process designed for individuals seeking validation of their educational and professional qualifications from other countries within the ​SIPAD VIU's academic and professional framework. This recognition can be essential for further employment, or migration purposes.

  • 1. Personal Details: This section captures essential details like name, date of birth, nationality, contact, and address information.

  • 2. Previous Education & Professional Experience: Applicants detail their academic history, including the institution name, graduation date, field of study, and language of instruction.

  • 3. Document Submission Checklist: Applicants are required to submit a variety of essential documents, including:
    A Consent Letter for ​SIPAD VIU to verify credentials.
    Academic qualifications.
    Professional certifications.
    Passport copy.
    An updated CV and cover letter.
    Current employment letter detailing position and responsibilities.
    Contact details of past employers.
    A minimum of three references.

  • 4. Purpose of Equivalence: Applicants specify the reason for seeking a DoE, such as employment, migration or other reasons.

  • 5. Declaration: A mandatory acknowledgment from the applicant confirming the accuracy of the information provided and understanding the potential consequences of providing false information.

  • 3.1. Using the consent provided, ​SIPAD VIU reaches out to the relevant institutions, references, and employers to validate the authenticity of documents and claims made by the applicant.
    3.2. Any discrepancies found during validation are noted and might require the applicant's clarification.

  • 4. Evaluation:
    4.1. A dedicated evaluation committee or departmental unit assesses the validated documents. This process takes into account the relevance, quality, and equivalence of the applicant's qualifications concerning ​SIPAD VIU's standards.
    4.2. The evaluation process also considers the curriculum, grading system, quality of institutions attended, and relevance of work experience (if applicable).

  • 5. Decision Making:
    5.1. After thorough evaluation, the committee convenes to make a decision regarding the applicant's eligibility and the degree of equivalence.

    7.2. Certificates are mailed to the applicant's registered address.
    7.3. Digital versions or online verifications are also be provided.
